About Me

Hello and bienvenido or shall I say, benvingut to my blog! I started this blog when I was applying for my MBA to help me stay focused on my goal and save up money while living an expensive life in New York City. Now, the MBA is done, I’ve secured a full-time job in Spain as a strategy consultant who will be traveling all over the world on projects, but my home base is Barcelona. This is my way of sharing my adventures with friends back home in the US and new friends around the globe. I’ve always wanted to travel the world, live and work internationally and become fluent in my second language. Since 2012 all of those puzzle pieces have been falling into place to make those dreams a reality.

I’m super grateful and fortunate for the way everything has turned out for me. Thanks for following my adventures!

  1. Thanks for following my blog!
Wow, you are going to have such a great time in Barcelona! Doing your MBA over there, what program is it? I got my master’s in Spanish through NYU and stayed for another year as an English teaching assistant. I’m actually heading back to New York Sept. 1st so as you arrive, I will be leaving! Also you are going to France as well? That’s awesome!

If you don’t follow her blog already, I recommend you follow this girl’s blog as well: http://holayessica.wordpress.com/ She actually lives in Barcelona and her blog might actually give you some tips about the city! Unfortunately I can only offer advice about Madrid… So jealous of your adventure! 😀

    • Thanks for the lovely note! I’m so excited for my adventures. I’m going to be going to school at ESADE. My good friend and my cousin will also be in Spain in Madrid at the same time that I’m there, so would love any recommendations on things not to miss in Madrid. I’m going to Paris for a weekend so far to run a race. I’m trying to travel around as much as my program will permit when I am there, because, why not!?!

You must have had an awesome time in Madrid. I’m sure it’s bitter sweet to head back to NY. I know I’m going to miss it here, but there’s so much to explore beyond the city. I do follow Holayessica. I think that’s how I came to find your blog! I look forward to reading more of what you’ve been up to! Enjoy your summer in Madrid!

  2. I love how you call it recession chic! Debt is crappy, but it’s the mark of our generation for sure…soon enough you will be rolling up to a fancy condo and the debt will be just a memory 🙂
